Indore: Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, recently unveiled a new 128-slice CT scan machine at MGM Medical College's Super Specialty Hospital. He also inaugurated a newly constructed (G+2) block at the Government Dental College, which was built at a cost of approximately Rs 6 crore. The high-tech equipment, donated by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, is expected to greatly enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities. CM Yadav cut the ribbon of the CT scan room and received a briefing on the machine's features during the inauguration ceremony. The newly constructed building, overseen by the Public Works Department, aims to address space constraints highlighted by the Dental Council of India. Additional upgrades planned by the state government include an OPG machine and 75 dental chair units at the dental college through the Madhya Pradesh Public Health Corporation, benefiting both undergraduate and postgraduate students along with outpatients. CM Yadav emphasized that these medical advancements underscore their dedication to improving healthcare services. The advanced CT scan machine will aid in early disease detection and precise diagnoses, while the new building at the dental college will provide access to top-tier facilities for dental students. During his visit to Indore, CM Yadav also toured the MR-10 ISBT, set to be operational by December this year. He announced plans for Indore to become the site of India's largest inter-state bus terminal (ISBT), designed to resemble an airport and serve as a prominent landmark for the city and the state. The terminal is poised to significantly enhance the state's infrastructure.Ahead of the upcoming Simhastha religious gathering, the newly constructed 15-acre facility built at a cost of Rs 101 crore by IDA is set to greatly enhance the travel experience for passengers. The terminal has the capacity to cater to up to 80,000 passengers daily and can house 1,440 buses operating round the clock. It will feature 14 ticket counters, a 1,000-vehicle parking facility, 43 bus platforms, a VIP lounge, a food court, and various other amenities. Additionally, the Chief Minister inaugurated a library at Holkar Science College and addressed the staff at Sanchi Dairy Plant in Indore, reassuring them that there will be no job cuts for permanent or outsourced employees. The CM emphasized the state government's commitment to strengthen the dairy sector and support dairy cooperatives. In another event, the CM unveiled a statue of martyr Amrita Devi Bishnoi in the city forest, honoring her community's sacrifices in environmental protection. During his visit to Indore, the CM sought blessings from Praman Sagar Maharaj and was briefed on the 'Health of Indore Campaign', which has conducted blood tests on approximately 50,000 individuals.
